Carolina Trace FD is located on NC 87 in Sanford, NC and serves the gated neighborhoods of Carolina Trace and Lee County. We provide emergency services 24 hrs per day, every day of the year.

Want to be a superhero? Volunteer!
Now recruiting new members. Volunteer firefighters donate their time to fight fires, search for missing persons and respond to medical calls. We provide all of the training and gear you need. All we ask of you is your time.
Interested in a career riding on an ambulance and fire truck ? We offer scholarships to CCCC Fire Academy to help you get a paid position in the fire service.

Hurricanes are coming!
Be sure to prepare the following:
Food rations and water stockpile for up to two weeks
First aid kit and extra prescription meds
Emergency power sources, solar phone chargers, flashlights and extra batteries
Survival kit with waterproof matches, whistle, knife and tools
Important documents, such as medical records, medication list, wills, passports, bank info, birth certificates, and ID
A fire extinguisher
Pet care items, including extra medications and vaccine records. Locate a pet-friendly hotel or friend to stay with in case of evacuation

Our station is located in Sanford, NC, on NC-87, just south of Walmart and north of Carolina Trace.
Our mailing address is located inside of Carolina Trace gated community, which requires a security pass. The general public must use the entrance on NC-87, as shown in the map.
